I'm yeon jung

hi, I'm yeon jung, english name is jane.
Finally I accessed this forum.
Wow, I am surprised at seeing other teachers' introduction already.
It took some time for me to access
Anyway let me introduce myself briefly.
I have father, mother, two brothers and one sister. I'm the youngest one.
My family live in Hwaseong
I have lived in Suwon over 10 years as a teacher.
My mother always worries me, so she call me to check my health everyday.
in the past, it made me irritate, but now she is my best friend. *^^*
I like to read a book, listen to music, see a movie, take a walk, watch tv etc.
But these days actually after attending Ajou tesol, I just read a book because of my homework.
I have been teaching as an elementary school teacher since 1997
And since 2007, I have been an english teacher.
This year I teach Grade 5 and 6 students 24 hours in a week.
It is really tough for me to teach the students without break time.
After school, I don't want to talk anymore, because I feel pain in my throat.
That made me good listener than speaker.
As an english teacher, I was a beginner teacher, I have lots of curiosity about how to teach, teaching skill.
At that time, I met a good teacher named Gumsuk in teacher's training course.
She suggested this Ajou tesol, that's why I'm here.
I really appreciate her.
After finishing this course, I want to be a more competent teacher.
I want to stand in front of students with self confidence.
I want to help my students learning english efficiently.

yes, I'm a christian.
but these days, I didn't spend my time for pray to the God.
I say to the God " Lord, I am busy, I need your understanding. *^^*

I want to reply for your question.
In my class, I want to speak only in english but, as you guess, my students have different level.
Some students are really good to speak english but also some students need my help very much.
And I cooperate with my native english teacher during the lesson.
so usually my native techer teach the lesson in english, and then I translate it for my lower level students.
At the beginning of the semester, I tried to use english only, but I realized that it might be lost the attention of students.
After listening to something from my native teacher, the students see me for help and ask
so it's difficult to speak only english in the real classroom
But I want to teach them speak only english
Because It will be hard time for the students, but I think they may adjust the situation if I teach them using easy expressions or phrase or gesture. It will be good for them to improve their english level ultimately
